Shaquille O' Neal has been known for many things throughout his life. During his time as an NBA player, he was a dominant force and is regarded as one of the best centers of all-time. In retirement (2011), the now 53-year-old has filled his time in many different ways in many different roles.
O' Neal has played a major role as a sports analyst for TNT, he spent time acting, he became a DJ, and he is currently serving as the General Manager of the Sacramento State men's basketball team.
But one of the more selfless things O' Neal has done in his post-playing career is provide mentorship for young people and young athletes. Most prominently, he has become one of the primary mentors in Chicago Sky star, Angel Reese's life.
As Reese navigates her way through her sophomore season in the WNBA, she continues to find herself being compared to Caitlin Clark, and has even been caught up in a controversial debate over their feelings for one another.
Many pundits across multiple media platforms have chosen side or taken a stance in the Reese vs. Clark debate. Notably, former NFL quarterback, Robert Griffin III, has become one of the loudest voices in opposition to Reese over the past few months.
Griffin III has had heated debates with many, including former NFL player, Ryan Clark. And earlier this week, Griffin III posted a controversial tweet over the racist images and comments being hurled Reese's way.
O'Neal, took exception with Griffin III's post, in a BIG way, not just warning, but threatening Griffin III during an appearance on the "Off the Record" podcast on Tuesday.

“RG3? Tweet another monkey post about my girl Angel Reese and I’m going to punch you in your (expletive) face. It’s enough. I don’t usually do stuff like this, but just stop it bro,” O' Neal said.
O' Neal went on to reiterate that he is in Reese's corner, personally advising her how to handle this situation.
“Leave my Angel Reese alone. I’m the one calling her telling her not to respond. (Expletive) stop it. That’s the last time.”
Despite the controversy swirling around Reese and Clark, Reese has played some of the best basketball of her career as of late. Reese currently holds a streak of nine consecutive games with a double-double.
Reese next takes the court on Wednesday against the Atlanta Dream at 12:00 p.m. EDT.
