Mavericks get bad news regarding LeBron James rumors

Where will "The King" go if he decides to leave L.A?

LeBron James

It has certainly been a while since the NBA has had such a hot commodity on the trade market, but this offseason might feature the biggest one yet.

"The King" himself, LeBron James.

Four teams are currently leading the sweepstakes for the future Hall of Famer, the Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, and even his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers, whom he has already served two stints with.

However, James' other former team, the Miami Heat, have also emerged as contenders, and according to Zach Lowe on The Zach Lowe Show, a reunion between LeBron and the team he won his first NBA title with is a very likely possibility.

"I don't know if anyone's really mentioned it, but there's a 'Heat reunion' trade that kinda actually makes some sense for both sides. To be clear, I don't think they've talked about it, but if we're just spitballing," Lowe said on his podcast. "They have salary attached to decent players. They have a young, rim-running center that Luka can grow with in Kel'el Ware. And they are a place where LeBron has been and knows. (Tyler) Herro, plus LeBron, plus Bam (Adebayo), I think they can still aggregate."

Of course, that trade proposition is likely the last thing the Dallas Mavericks want to think about, as they are also hoping to land the legend and reunite him with Kyrie Irving, the two having put their differences from their time in Cleveland aside, as well as Anthony Davis, who just joined the Mavericks earlier in the year after the blockbuster Luka Doncic trade.

And with all three still performing at a high level, it's a big three that the Mavericks can't afford to let go if they want to bring a second championship to Dallas.
