There was no shortage of action in Monday’s matchup between the Chicago Sky and the league-best Minnesota Lynx. The game turned out to be pretty intense, too, with Sky star Angel Reese getting into it with a courtside fan at one point in the third quarter.
The cameras caught Reese having an animated conversation with a fan sitting courtside at Chicago’s home stadium, Wintrust Arena. It appears that the said spectator may have had words for Reese after the Sky forward drew a foul on a drive to the basket. It did not look like Reese like what she heard from the fan, which prompted a heated confrontation.
According to the broadcast, Reese had “stuff to say to a fan right there courtside.” They also said that the Sky star was “pointing them out” to the referee as she made her way to the free-throw line.

The game would go on without incident, and it is unclear if the game officials did anything about the fan. In the NBA, in particular, fans have been ejected from the arena for their unruly behavior toward the players. In fact, some of them have even received lifetime bans, depending on the extent of the incident they were involved in.
Either way, it appears that Reese was quickly able to move on from the fan confrontation. She had a big game, too, putting up 22 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes of action.
Chicago, however, couldn't hold off the Lynx. They ultimately suffered a 91-78 loss, which ended their two-game winning streak.
