The Chicago Cubs can look at the trade deadline in a few different ways. For one, they have to do everything in their power to make Kyle Tucker happy.

On the other hand, the front office also has a reason to go out and try to win a World Series right now. The Cubs are one of the better teams in Major League Baseball, and despite some of the question marks about their roster, there's a way to fix that over the next few weeks. Mainly, the Cubs have to get better at third base, despite Matt Shaw being as young as he is.

When searching for who that player could be, Zachary Rotman recently noted that it could be Eugenio Suarez.

However, he later added that there's a scenario where the New York Yankees and Cubs will get into a bidding war for his services.

Chicago Cubs president of baseball operations Jed Hoyer speaks before a baseball game between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Guardians at Wrigley Field.

"The Cubs might not need Suarez as much as the Yankees, given how good the rest of their lineup is, but can you imagine adding his bat to that lineup at the one position of need?" Rotman wrote. "A Suarez trade would give the Cubs three of the seven players with at least 25 home runs this season and five of the top 30 qualified position players in WRC+. That'll play!

"The Cubs need to add pitching, too, but a Suarez trade would make this team genuinely terrifying to face from top to bottom in their lineup. It'd be worthwhile for the Cubs to go all-in, especially in their only guaranteed year with Kyle Tucker."

Suarez has arguably been one of the top three third basemen in Major League Baseball during this season, blasting 31 home runs.

To replace someone like Shaw with the veteran would be a step in the right direction for the Cubs.
