Caitlin Clark had another off game shooting the basketball on Sunday as the Indiana Fever secured a dominant 102-83 victory in their highly anticipated matchup against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings.

Clark scored 14 points in the victory, making just four out of her 12 attempts from the field. She also went 2-of-7 from beyond the arc. This was the 23-year-old’s third game back after sitting out for two weeks due to a groin injury. Over this span, Clark has shot 13-of-41 (31.7%) overall and 5-of-19 from three-point territory (26.3%).

Despite her shooting slump, the Fever superstar has remained calm. In fact, she’s sent out a warning about what’s to come once she finally gets over the hump.

“I still probably didn't shoot it as good as I would have liked, but I feel like it's coming,” Clark said after Sunday’s win. “Just trying to continue to get my legs under me. And, like I said, pregame, like I feel like I'm a couple shots away from, like, having a really good game.”

In Clark’s mind, it’s only a matter of time before she gets things going again. It’s not a question of “if,” but “when.”

She also went on to point out that the Fever did not require an offensive explosion from her on Sunday, which resulted in her putting on a passing clinic with 13 assists in the game.

"I thought my playmaking was really good," she continued. "There was no reason for me to really shoot that much.

“... People executed. When we have five people in double figures, I feel like we're going to be pretty hard to beat. It would take a lot for a team to beat us."

The takeaway here is that the Fever have now won back-to-back games with Clark struggling with her shot. Indiana is going to be a scary matchup once the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year finds her groove again.
