The Denver Nuggets have had a busy offseason thus far as they have made multiple additions to their roster to try and chase a championship next season.
Of course, the Nuggets entered the offseason looking to upgrade their roster around Nikola Jokic and the rest of their core after back-to-back second-round playoff exits.
That is exactly what Denver has done thus far through free agency and the trade market, even electing to trade one of the key pieces in their starting lineup.
That would be Michael Porter Jr., who the Nuggets sent to the Brooklyn Nets along with a 2032 first-round pick to acquire Cameron Johnson.
This was a shocking move by the Nuggets as they had been unwilling to trade Porter Jr. in prior seasons but with changes being needed, they decided to move on from him to add a sharpshooter in Johnson and also free up cap space for more moves.
On Sunday, Porter Jr. revealed his reaction to the trade during the Las Vegas NBA Summer League.
“Honestly, I'm not like a super anxious guy or anything like that. So on the plane when I found out, I was kind of just like, 'Well, I'm traded,' and took a nap afterwards,” Porter Jr. said about his trade from the Nuggets.

This was an interesting response by Porter Jr., especially due to him playing a key role for the Nuggets during his six seasons in the NBA, specifically during their championship run in 2023.
Despite this, it appears as though Porter Jr. figured that he was going to be moved this offseason with the Nuggets looking to make changes.
The 27-year-old forward will now head to Brooklyn where he will have a larger role than what he had in Denver and he will also become a key piece of the Nets’ continued rebuild.
