Not many -- if any -- people saw the Los Angeles Lakers trading for Luka Doncic last season. That will go down as one of the most shocking transactions in NBA history.

Now, reports suggest that the Lakers are pivoting towards Doncic, and they might be gearing up to move on from LeBron James as a result. Nevertheless, that's not what Doncic wants.

According to his manager, Lara Beth Sager, Doncic has nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for the four-time NBA champion, and he loves sharing the court with him:

“Championships are won when you work together. We all share that same goal," Seager told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. "Luka loves playing with LeBron and has learned so much from him. He has nothing but the utmost respect for LeBron and considers it an honor to be his teammate.”

Some analysts and fans were worried about having two ball-dominant point forwards on the court, and Doncic's production in his first couple of games as a Laker raised doubts about whether they could coexist. Shortly after, Doncic went back to his usual self and put those doubts to rest.

Now, with the Lakers seemingly getting ready to build their team around him, they first need to make sure he signs a contract extension. With that in mind, Seager made it loud and clear that he's happy with the Lakers right now:

“The Lakers leadership team has been incredibly welcoming and supportive of Luka since we arrived in L.A.," Seager said. "We've spent a lot of time talking and getting to know each other over the last few months, and we've formed a strong working relationship."

Rumors around LeBron James and his discontent with a team aren't anything new, but barring a shocking turn of events, Doncic and the future Hall of Famer will continue to lead the way in Hollywood for at least another season.
