The Miami Heat have yet to trade scoring guard Terry Rozier.

The Miami Heat's pivotal 3-team trade to land ex-Los Angeles Clippers star Norman Powell on Monday provided the team with a desperately-needed offensive punch.
While the 32-year-old 21.8-point scorer has been viewed as a marvelous addition by the Heat's team president Pat Riley and the rest of the front office, the market for another scoring Heat guard has unfortunately ceased to exist.
The Heat could gain recognition as surprise winners of the 2025 offseason after landing Powell and selecting University of Illinois product Kasparas Jakučionis with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, but Rozier's continued presence resembles that of a massive storm cloud hanging over the franchise.
Despite the organization's best efforts, recent reports from Forbes' Evan Sidery indicate that the Heat have struggled to locate a trade suitor for the declining guard.
"The Heat have been active in the marketplace attempting to find a team willing to take on Terry Rozier’s expiring contract," Sidery shared via X on Thursday.
"However, due to it being a $26.6 million figure, the trade market is currently nonexistent. There’s a strong chance Rozier enters the season with Miami."
Following a rocky campaign with the Heat, the ex-Boston Celtics scorer and 10th place finisher in 2018 Sixth Man of the Year voting has remained a thorn in the franchise's side this summer.
In 64 appearances last season, the shot-happy 6-foot-1 guard averaged 10.6 points and 2.6 assists on a horrendous 46.2% effective field goal percentage.
As a result, even teams deeply entrenched in long-term rebuilding projects are not willing to take on his contract attached with draft capital in a hypothetical deal.
Though the Heat have conducted a solid re-tooling period in the aftermath of trading Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors prior to the Feb. 6 trade deadline, the franchise has more work to do in an effort to solve one more gigantic problem.
