Sky's Angel Reese becomes 1st player in WNBA history with superb double-double feat

Angel was hooping.

From the opening tip, Angel Reese was hooping.

And by the final buzzer, she had put together one of the best games of her career in conjunction with maybe the Chicago Sky's best win with her on the roster.

The Sky knocked off the top team in the WNBA, the Minnesota Lynx, by an 87-81 score.

Reese finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds, to go along with four assists and two steals.

Kamilla Cardoso added 17 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks.

"I think we're the best young core in the league," Reese told ABC after the win.

Reese's star-level stats set WNBA history in the process.

According to Polymarket Hoops, Reese is the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 40 double-doubles.

Reese has only played 54 WNBA games. That means she has a double-double in 74% of her professional games.

It seems like the talented lefty keeps getting better every time out there, and it resulted in an impressive Saturday on her home floor with some history mixed in.
