Missouri women’s basketball star Sophie Cunningham dropped four 3s and recorded her first double-double with the Indiana Fever in a win over Atlanta.

The former Missouri women’s basketball star scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds, and the Indiana Fever defeated the Atlanta Dream 99-82 on Friday night in Indianapolis. It was the second double-double of Cunningham’s seven-season WNBA career.
Cunningham was 4-of-4 from 3-point range, going 5-of-9 from the field and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line to record her season-high for points.

By pulling in 10 rebounds, the Columbia native also matched her career-high on the glass. Eight of those boards were on the defensive end.
Cunningham had a +25 plus/minus during her 29 minutes on the floor, which was tied with Aari McDonald for the best mark among Fever players.

Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana in scoring with 25 points. South Carolina alum Aliyah Boston had 19 points, eight assists and six rebounds, and Caitlin Clark, playing her second game since returning from a groin injury, had 12 points and nine assists.
The Fever moved back to .500 with the win, now at 10-10. They are now tied with Washington in seventh in the WNBA standings and third in the Eastern Conference.
At halftime, Cunningham had scored on her only attempt from 3-point range and collected a game-high six rebounds. She also recorded a block — her second of the season and first since her debut — and an assist in the win.
Entering Friday night’s matchup, Cunningham was averaging 5.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.9 steals per game this season — her first with the Fever after an offseason trade from the Phoenix Mercury.
Earlier this year, Cunningham was announced as a member of Missouri athletics’ 2025 Hall of Fame Class. The Rock Bridge High grad is the all-time leading scorer for Mizzou women’s basketball with 2,187 points. The Tigers have not been to the NCAA Tournament since Cunningham graduated in 2019.
Indiana and Cunningham next face the Dallas Wings at noon Sunday in Indianapolis.
