See how Taylor and Serrano's peers reacted to their history-making Netflix bout, including heavyweight legend Mike Tyson and pound-for-pound star Terence Crawford.
Katie Taylor pulled out the broom and made it a clean sweep on Friday night, once again defending her undisputed super lightweight championships with a majority decision over Amanda Serrano inside New York's iconic Madison Square Garden. Taylor's victory headlined a historic all-women card on Netflix, which featured a record-breaking 17 championships up for grabs — the most ever for a single boxing card in the four-belt era.
With her win, Ireland's Taylor moved to 3-0 over Serrano to put a stamp on what is undoubtedly the greatest rivalry in women's boxing history. Ringside judges scored the bout 95-95, 97-93 and 97-94, with the latter two cards falling in Taylor's favor.
While the first two bouts in the series were electric, all-action affairs, Friday's trilogy match was a much more measured and technical affair, with Serrano eschewing her brawling game plans of the previous fights to instead — and largely unsuccessfully — try to box at range with the taller and longer Taylor.
Taylor, 39, and Serrano, 36, are two of the top pound-for-pound fighters in boxing and both women surefire Hall of Famers once they retire, however Taylor's victory to sweep the series likely cements her place as one of the greatest female boxers in the sport's history, if not the single greatest.
Check out how Taylor and Serrano's peers within the boxing world reacted to their history-making bout below, including commentary from former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and pound-for-pound star Terence Crawford.
