Here is a list of every player in the history of the Philadelphia 76ers who has worn the uniform No. 36.
It’s summertime in the NBA, so it’s time to learn some history. The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the older franchises in the NBA. Their history dates to the 1949-50 season.
With that longevity, the team has had hundreds of players come through the City of Brotherly Love. Sixers Wire looks at the No. 36, which has been worn by only four of those players in the history of the franchise.
This running series will go through all of the uniform numbers worn in franchise history.
With that being said, let's get into the list of everybody who has worn 36 for the Sixers:
Jake Jones
Jones played in six games for the Sixers donning the No. 36 uniform before he was waived. He was then picked up by the then-Cincinnati Royals. He averaged 3.2 points and a rebound in his time with the Sixers.
Mike Price
Price played in 57 games for the Sixers in the 1972-73 season. He averaged 5.1 points and 2.1 rebounds for Philadelphia.
Shawn Long
Long was picked up during The Process era and received an opportunity to play in the NBA. He played in 18 games and averaged 8.2 points and 4.7 rebounds as an energy guy on the team. He was traded to the Houston Rockets in the 2017 offseason and he was then waived by Houston.
Phillip Wheeler
Playing for the Sixers on a 10-day deal in the 2024-25 season, Wheeler played five games for Philadelphia and averaged 1.6 points and 1.6 rebounds. The Rumson, NJ native was able to make his NBA debut on March 26, 2025 and he had four points and four rebounds.
