Caitlin Clark's boyfriend, Butler assistant men's basketball coach Connor McCaffery, might have become the most popular man in the Bulldogs program on Tuesday.
The credit goes to the Indiana Fever star, whom he started dating in 2023 when the two both played college basketball at the University of Iowa.
A certified Hawkeyes legend, the 26-year-old McCaffery is entering his second season as an assistant coach at Butler under head coach Thad Matta.
Last season, Connor helped coach his brother, Patrick McCaffery, a graduate transfer from Iowa to Butler who recently signed with the Sacramento Kings. This year, their youngest brother, Jack McCaffery, will be a freshman for the Bulldogs.
When he helped hand out a supply of Clark's signature Nike shoes to the team on Tuesday, he proved how dating the WNBA superstar has its perks.
The Kobe V Protro "Caitlin Clark" PE is the Fever star's first player-exclusive shoe with Nike. It follows Indiana's color scheme, but did not look out of place with blue Butler gear.
On June 30, Nike's limited release on the SNKRS app sold out in minutes. Clark gifted the exclusive shoes to her entire Fever coaching staff before they won the WNBA Commissioner's Cup final against the Minnesota Lynx.
Travis Kelce's friend even got a pair. The Bulldogs were just the latest to benefit, thanks to the McCaffery connection.

While McCaffery received a few thanks, in the video above he could be seen remaining supportive and making sure Clark got the credit for the generous gesture.
Clark is a starter and captain for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game, which will be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in their shared home of Indianapolis on July 19.
She is expected to return from five games out with a groin injury for Wednesday's game between the Fever and the Golden State Valkyries.
