The Phoenix Suns entered the NBA offseason looking to make some major changes to their roster and they have been able to do so thus far.

Phoenix began their offseason by trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the draft rights to Khaman Maluach and five second-round picks.

They then acquired Mark Williams in a trade with the Charlotte Hornets on draft night and selected Rasheer Fleming and Koby Brea in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft.

It is clear that the Suns are trying to retool their roster around Devin Booker this offseason and more changes are expected to take place, including with one of their star players.

That player is Bradley Beal, who has reportedly been in discussions with the Suns about a potential contract buyout after Phoenix was unable to find a trade suitor for him.

If Beal is bought out, he would become an unrestricted free agent and there are expected to be many teams around the NBA with interest in signing the 32-year-old guard.

According to KENS 5 San Antonio’s Jeff Garcia, the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors are all rumored spots for Beal if he hits free agency.

Of course, Beal has struggled with injuries over the last handful of seasons but he is still a great scorer who would be a solid veteran pickup for any contending team, including the six teams mentioned.

Last season, Beal averaged 17.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 49.7% from the field and 38.6% from three-point range in 53 games.

While Beal would be a solid addition to many contending teams, his injury history could play a factor in teams’ decisions to sign him as he has not played in 60 or more games since the 2020-21 season.

Despite this, Beal is still a great scoring option that could help a contender compete for a championship next season.
