Cincinnati could finally address its guard situation.
Lucas Patrick has failed to impress so far as a Cincinnati Bengal, which led to fans clamoring for the front office to actually do something and sign a veteran guard.
It appears they’ve heard the cries, as the team is hosting veteran Dalton Risner tomorrow according to Jordan Schultz.
Risner is only 30 years old and has started 81 games for the Denver Broncos and the Minnesota Vikings over the course of his six-year career.
He was apparently in talks with the Bengals earlier in the offseason. And the team has a giant hole at right guard. So none of this should be shocking, though it is still pleasantly surprising.
