Texas' Arch Manning announcement catches attention.
Texas Turns Heads With Arch Manning Announcement on Tuesday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
There are extremely lofty expectations going into the 2025 season for the Texas Longhorns, with many believing they are strong national championship contenders, despite being ranked No. 1 on ESPN's FPI.
Much of this sits on the shoulders of quarterback Arch Manning, who was the nation's top recruit in 2023 and will be the team's full-time starter after sitting behind Quinn Ewers the past two years.
Of course, they don't play their first game until Aug. 30 against Ohio State, but fans will still get a closer look at some members of the team as the Longhorns will be participating in the SEC Football Kickoff Media Days on July 15 in Atlanta.
On Tuesday, Texas announced that it will be represented by coach Steve Sarkisian, linebacker Anthony Hill Jr., defensive back Michael Taaffe and Manning.

Manning caught the most attention on social media, with many thinking the quarterback would draw quite the crowd from members of the media while also revealing their excitement for the event.
"Arch’s podium will be jammed packed," said one comment.
"The media scrum around Arch will be nuts," said another.
"SEC media days just got a whole lot louder," a third added.
A fourth stated, "No surprises here. Media members should probably start camping out at the Arch podium now. #HookEm."
"More like Arch Media days! Arch will have the biggest crowd of any player or coach," a fifth continued.
"These are the faces that have the entire SEC shaking," said another.
It will remain to be seen if the hype is real, though, as Manning and the Longhorns face an uphill battle against the Buckeyes in Week 1, as ESPN BET places them as three-point underdogs.
