Caitlin Clark sends strong message.

Caitlin Clark is looking to return to the Indiana Fever lineup after missing five straight games with one of the most exciting WNBA teams.

Clark has been hit by the injury bug several times this season. She was recently dealing with a groin injury and before then had to overcome a leg injury that kept her out another five games for Indiana.

Luckily, for WNBA fans, Stephanie White and Clark revealed that a return to the lineup for the Fever's next game is a definite possibility. However, before taking the floor for the Fever, Clark spoke on a recent addition from Indiana.

While Clark was out of the lineup, the Fever signed Aari McDonald to a rest-of-season contract. They also released DeWanna Bonner, leading to more depth in the backcourt.

Clark mentioned that the McDonald signing gives her a chance to come off screens and have more of an opportunity to score, which should certainly scare the rest of the league.

"It'll be nice to play with another point guard who can read the floor really well," Clark said. "Get me to come off a few screens rather than just playing out of ball screens mostly — opportunity to run me off some screens gives the defense something to plan for."

Clark detailed her thoughts on playing with someone like McDonald, mentioning that she'll have to adjust to playing with another point guard but the off-ball opportunities should be worth it.

"It’ll be nice, not having to bring the ball up against pressure at 94 feet, but that’s what I’m best at," Clark said. "So we’re still gonna do a lot of that. Finding a balance and giving the defense different looks. Me being a screener and coming off screens."

During her second season with the Indiana Fever, Clark scored 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game. She's posted phenomenal numbers, but injuries have plagued her development under Coach White.
