After a successful period on loan at Stade Brestois last season, Abdallah Sima (24) could return to Ligue 1 in the coming weeks, according to a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter.
Sima joined Brest on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion last season, however, the deal did not include a purchase option. The Senegalese forward excelled, netting 12 goals and registering two assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.
However, the centre-forward, having made his return to the UK over the summer, does not look to have a future at Brighton. He is, nonetheless, well-regarded in France. Toubache-Ter understands that Lens, in the market for a centre-forward before the closure of the transfer window, have identified Sima as a target.
Pierre Sage’s side, who lost on the opening day of the Ligue 1 season to Olympique Lyonnais (0-1), would, however, have to reduce their current wage bill, if they are to sign the player.
