The next two weeks mark a pivotal stretch of international golf for the PGA Tour, with back-to-back events taking place overseas.

This week, several top names are returning to action at the Genesis Scottish Open in Scotland. On Tuesday, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler was seen on the course with his infant son, Bennett, getting a feel for the layout ahead of Thursday’s opening round.

Adding to the excitement, tournament organizers announced the official groupings for the first and second rounds on Tuesday—and Scheffler headlines one of the most high-profile trios to kick things off.

Scheffler will tee off alongside Robert MacIntyre, last year’s champion, and veteran Adam Scott, who finished second in the tournament.

Any group featuring Scottie Scheffler is sure to draw a big crowd, as he remains the No. 1-ranked player in the world following another stellar 2025 campaign. While Scheffler has yet to win the Genesis Scottish Open, the tournament presents another opportunity for him to add a new title to his already impressive résumé.

His best finish at the event came in 2023, when he tied for third. So far this year, Scheffler has claimed victories at the PGA Championship, the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, and the Memorial Tournament. He has finished in the top 10 in seven of eight tournaments this season and has placed in the top 10 in 12 consecutive major championships.

Next week’s Open Championship, set to begin on July 17, marks the season’s final major—a title Scheffler has yet to capture—making this a potentially defining two-week stretch.
