Arsenal’s teenage striker Jessie Gale has signed her first professional contract with the club.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Gunners this morning.
The 18-year-old is yet to make her senior debut for Arsenal but Gale is thought to be rated very highly by the North Londoners.
Gale has played a key role for Arsenal’s Professional Game Academy League side while she has already got some senior experience under her belt in a dual-registration spell with FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division club Watford.
The striker will now be hoping to push for senior honours with Arsenal as a professional player.
After signing her first professional deal with the North Londoners, Gale said “I’m delighted to sign my first professional contract here at Arsenal. This is a special club with great history and ambitions for the future, and it’s incredible to be part of that.
“I’ve had the opportunity to train alongside the first team here as well as gaining experience elsewhere, and now I’m looking forward to continuing to work hard to develop and progress as a player.”
Gale may get opportunities to impress first team head coach Renée Slegers during Arsenal’s pre-season programme.
