There are still a number of very talented players in the 2026 recruiting class who need to decide which schools they will attend to start their collegiate careers.
That even includes defensive tackle Lamar Brown, who previously revealed that he'd be making his decision on July 10, choosing among the Texas A&M Aggies, the Miami Hurricanes, the Texas Longhorns and the LSU Tigers.
It's, of course, a mystery as to where he will end up, but it's clear that he has some high expectations for the future, because on Wednesday, in an X post, Brown stated, "Striving for that GOLD JACKET!!"

That's certainly a strong statement considering that the defensive tackle is referring to the gold jacket given to members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which has inducted only 371 players
However, there's no doubt that Brown is already a talented player, with the ESPN recruiting database placing him as a five-star prospect and the No. 1 player in the nation.
He's set to play on the defensive side of the ball at the collegiate level, but last season he was named a MaxPreps Second-Team Junior All-American at offensive tackle for University Lab, proving he's a versatile player.
To achieve his goal of being immortalized forever, though, Brown must first make his commitment decision, as each of the finalists has had their chance to make an impression, all hosting Brown for official visits.
As of now, the On3 recruiting prediction machine favors LSU, giving them the highest chance to land him (86.5%), with Texas A&M in second (11.1%), while Texas and Miami are each at less than 1%.
