Call him I.A.
Sports have a funny way of always outdoing themselves.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have a minor league prospect named Iverson Allen.
Seriously.
(And for those wondering why this is significant, one of the greatest point guards in NBA history is Allen Iverson. He's got the whole speech about, "Practice? We talking 'bout practice?")
Iverson Allen is a 17-year old from Panama who is playing for the Pirates' team in the Dominican Summer League. He's a 6-foot tall outfielder.
So far, it's been a bit of a struggle for the youngster. He's batting .211 across 39 games, with two doubles and three triples.

Iverson Allen is quick, having successfully converted on all 10 of his steal attempts.
If he ever makes the majors, it'd be after many improvements and a long journey.
But man, people would have fun with that name. Call him I.A., as opposed to A.I.
