BOL Video: Reaction to Ty Simpson being named Alabama starting QB

Alabama has a new starting quarterback. The Crimson Tide announced Ty Simpson as its QB1 on Monday, August 11, revealing the decision to the quarterbacks and then the full team.

Simpson, a redshirt junior, has competed for the starting quarterback job before, battling Jalen Milroe and Tyler Buchner prior to the 2023 football season. But after not winning that race, he stayed committed to Alabama, despite a coaching change, and waited his turn. That patience paid off this week, as the program veteran finally claimed the first-team role.
