These realistic Knicks free agent targets should be considered to round out roster

We look at the top New York Knicks free agent targets for this offseason. How can they improve their roster realistically?

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson

The New York Knicks are ready to make a run. They’re coming off an incredibly successful season, have a new coach, and are returning with much of the same core of last season. They should be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. Let’s look at the top Knicks free agent targets that they could actually land.

3. Seth Curry

The Knicks' bench needs a scoring punch. Tom Thibodeau leaned heavily on his starters, and they are going to need some support next year. This may not be the best Curry to play in Madison Square Garden, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a great fit for the Knicks. Curry shot 45.6% from three last season. He’d instantly be one of the best shooters on the Knicks roster. With substantial minutes, he is a scoring threat that the Knicks could really use.

2. Chris Boucher

Maybe the Knicks already have enough long and dynamic defenders on the roster. Grabbing Boucher in free agency would only give them more length and versatility. That’s what the new NBA is all about. The Knicks should start hoarding athletic talent like Boucher. Last season he averaged 10 points per game and shot 36.3% from three. He would help the Knicks on both sides of the ball.

1. Thomas Bryant

The Knicks need another big man. Karl-Anthony Towns had an incredible season, but he isn’t the paint presence the Knicks need. Mitchell Robinson will obviously hold down the fort in some respects, but he just isn’t reliable enough health-wise. Bryant is still young, shot over 50% from the field, and played important minutes on the Eastern Conference champion Pacers. He would be the perfect backup center for the Knicks.
