After seven seasons and an unforgettable championship run, Brook Lopez is officially closing his chapter with the Milwaukee Bucks and opening a new one under the bright lights of California with the Los Angeles Clippers.

It’s never easy saying goodbye to a player who became such a big part of the team’s identity, but before Lopez packs his bags for sunnier weather, the Bucks made sure to take a moment and reflect on all the good times they’ve shared together. Their heartfelt farewell is a reminder that sometimes, even when it’s time to move on, the memories stick around for good.

The Bucks’ social media team has had its hands full lately juggling warm welcomes for new faces while also saying heartfelt goodbyes to a few familiar ones. For Lopez, they shared a message on X that said, “Thank you, Brook, for the joy you brought, the passion you played with, and your invaluable contributions to help win a championship in Milwaukee.”

Brook Lopez, at 37, still showed he’s got plenty left in the tank. Last season with Milwaukee, he put up 13 points, 5 boards and nearly 2 blocks a game, good enough for fourth in the league.

He started all 80 games he played in and stayed efficient too, shooting just over 50% from the field, knocking down 37% of his 3-pointers and hitting over 82% from the line. Pretty solid for a big man! It was also his third straight season with 100+ threes and 100+ blocks, a record he holds six times in his career.

Meanwhile, the Bucks didn’t waste any time lining up his replacement, pulling off a surprise move by signing Myles Turner to a four-year, $107 million deal.
