La Liga rivals Real Betis and Celta Vigo have on Tuesday announced a completed deal on the transfer front.
This comes amid confirmation that Borja Iglesias’ long-rumoured move to the latter has finally been pushed over the line.
Frontman Iglesias spent last season plying his trade on loan with Celta, enjoying a solid campaign en route to 11 goals and three assists in league play.
This proved enough to convince those behind the scenes at Balaídos to sanction a permanent move for the 32-year-old, with talks, in turn, having long been kicked into gear between the two clubs.
And as alluded to above, this week, at long last, such discussions have borne fruit.
As per a statement across the website and social media platforms of Real Betis:
‘Real Betis Balompié and Real Club Celta de Vigo have agreed to the transfer of Borja Iglesias. Real Betis wishes him the best of luck in his upcoming professional endeavors.’
