Pascal Siakam came just one win short of earning his second NBA championship. The 31-year-old from Cameroon has had a strong career that continues in Indianapolis, where he has quickly become a fan favorite.
Siakam was traded from the Toronto Raptors midway through the 2023-24 season. He’s under contract with the Pacers for three more years. The veteran forward played 78 games during the regular season and played a key role in the Pacers’ playoff run, earning Eastern Conference finals MVP honors along the way.
On Monday, Siakam broke his silence following Indiana’s Game 7 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals.
“Not the fairytale ending, nevertheless what a run. What a blessing. Thank you Indy — let’s get back to it,” the post read.

During the regular season, Siakam averaged 20.2 points over 78 games. In the playoffs, his playing time increased slightly from 32.7 to 33.5 minutes per game. He also averaged 20.5 points and 6.3 rebounds during the postseason.
In the final two games of the NBA Finals, Siakam scored 16 points in each contest, including a 13-rebound performance in Indiana’s 108-91 Game 6 win.
He truly shined during the Eastern Conference finals. Siakam dropped 30 or more points in three of the six games. In Game 2, he exploded for 39 points on 15-of-23 shooting. He followed that up with another 30-point outing in Game 4, then sealed the series with 31 points and five rebounds in the closeout Game 6.
Looking ahead, the Pacers will open the 2025-26 season without star point guard Tyrese Haliburton. The All-Star tore his Achilles in the Game 7 loss to the Thunder and is expected to miss most, if not all, of the upcoming season. Haliburton averaged 18.6 points and 9.2 assists during the regular season, playing a crucial role as Indiana’s offensive engine.
