The Phoenix Suns have had a busy offseason thus far as they have made major changes to their roster, which was expected after missing the playoffs last season.

Phoenix began their offseason by trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, five second-round picks and the 10th pick in the 2025 draft which they used to select Duke center Khaman Maluach.

They also selected Rasheer Fleming and Koby Brea in the second round of the 2025 NBA Draft and also pulled off a trade with the Charlotte Hornets that landed them Mark Williams.

Phoenix continues to be a team to watch during free agency and on the trade market as they could still be in line to make more moves this offseason but their focus is now shifting to the NBA Summer League which begins on Thursday.

On Monday, the Suns unveiled their Summer League roster and also revealed the jersey numbers for their rookies, including Maluach.

Maluach is set to wear number 10 for the Suns as he changes his number from nine, which he wore in his lone season at Duke, to 10.

For the other two Suns’ rookies, Brea will wear number 14 while Fleming will wear number 20 for Phoenix.

Of course, there is much excitement around the Suns’ rookies this season from both the organization and the fan base, especially regarding Maluach.

Phoenix struggled at the center position last season and with the additions of Maluach and Williams, their frontcourt should be much better entering next season.

Last season at Duke, Maluach averaged 8.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 71.2% from the field and 25.0% from three.

The 18-year-old seven-footer will bring some much-needed rim protection to the Suns’ roster and is also a solid inside scorer who should work well next to Devin Booker in the lineup.

Maluach's first NBA game is expected to be on Friday when the Suns face off against the Washington Wizards in the Las Vegas Summer League.
