While he’s not set to compete in this week’s Genesis Scottish Open, Spieth offered an encouraging update during a Monday appearance on the "Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams."

He revealed that he currently has "no restrictions" and is preparing for a late arrival at the season’s final major, The Open Championship, which begins July 17 in Great Britain.

As for the reason behind the delayed travel, Spieth shared some exciting personal news—he and his wife, Annie, are on “baby watch” as they await the arrival of their third child, expected any day now in July.

"It's coming, yeah, we're on baby watch officially," Spieth said.

Regarding his health, Spieth added, "I'm good, it was a weird, neck spasm thing that just came up and I just couldn't get through the round... I knew it was going to be short lived.. getting ready for The Open Championship next week, but I have no restrictions."

"I'll be at The Open Championship, I'll be a little bit of a late arrival... just trying to get all the work in before the baby comes and then I'll get overseas."

Spieth’s 2025 campaign has been a whirlwind of emotions, with his last win dating back to 2022.

Currently ranked 48th in the world, the 31-year-old is still just one major— the PGA Championship—away from completing the career Grand Slam. He also has a chance to win The Open Championship next week for the second time, having first claimed that title in 2017.
