How to buy tickets for next Club World Cup game at MetLife as FIFA slashes prices

FIFA slashed the standard admission prices over the weekend for its upcoming Club World Cup semi-final match at MetLife Stadium.

FIFA slashed standard admission prices over the weekend for its upcoming Club World Cup semifinal match at MetLife Stadium, the latest in a series of price cuts due to a reported lack of demand.

Standard admission pricing for the July 8 match between Chelsea and Fluminense was reduced to $13.40 on July 5, The Athletic reported. Just 72 hours prior, the same tickets were priced at $473.90.

This represents the organization's latest attempt to increase attendance at their venues, according to The Athletic, which reported that reduced prices may represent an admission by FIFA that they overestimated the tournament's demand and set the original prices too high.

Paul Ghermezian, Lauren LaRusso, Cafu and Thomas J. Sullivan are shown at American Dream, Sunday, July 6, 2025, in East Rutherford.

Shortly before the tournament kicked off in June, USA TODAY reported that the FIFA Club World Cup had seen thousands of ticket prices reduced due to the lack of demand.

The opening match between Lionel Messi's Inter Miami and Egyptian team Al Ahly, for example, was expected to draw a lot of attention. However, per USA TODAY, after a lack of ticket sales and to make the game more enticing, FIFA slashed the prices from $230 to just $55.

FIFA has used a dynamic pricing model for this tournament which means that prices fluctuate based on demand.

As of 12:50 p.m. on July 7, the cheapest ticket on Ticketmaster for Fluminense-Chelsea on July 8 was going for $40.34.
