Former Vols by the numbers in 2025 MLB Week 15

Week 15 of the 2025 MLB season has concluded.

Seven former Vols began the week in MLB: Jordan Beck (Colorado), Garrett Crochet (Boston) and Seth Halvorsen (Colorado),  Chase Dollander (Colorado),  Christian Moore (Angels) and Blade Tidwell (Mets) and Chase Burns (Cincinnati).

Moore sustained a left thumb sprain in an attempt to field a ground ball at Atlanta on July 2. He was placed on a 10-day injured list July 3 and could return July 13.

Tidwell was optioned to Triple-A on July 3 despite earning his first career win against the Brewers on July 2.

Below are performances from former Vols during Week 15 of the 2025 MLB season.

Blade Tidwell

Tidwell (13-5) played for the Vols from 2021-22, appearing in 31 games (27 starts). He recorded 141 strikeouts and a 3.53 ERA, while leading all Tennessee pitchers with 18 starts as a true freshman in 2021.

Christian Moore

Moore played at Tennessee from 2022-24 and appeared in 186 games, totaling 61 home runs, 160 RBIs and 179 runs. He recorded a .375 batting average, 34 home runs, 74 RBIs, 83 runs and 38 walks in 72 games during Tennessee’s 2024 national championship season.

Jordan Beck

Beck played at Tennessee from 2020-22. He recorded 18 home runs, 61 RBIs, 70 runs, 75 hits, 15 doubles, three triples, 37 walks and six stolen bases in 66 games during the Vols' SEC championship season in 2022.

Chase Dollander

Dollander (17-6) appeared in 33 games, including 31 starts, from 2022-23 at Tennessee. He recorded 228 strikeouts, one complete game and a .364 ERA in 168 innings pitched during his Tennessee career.

Garrett Crochet

Crochet (10-9) played for the Vols from 2018-20, appearing in 36 games. He totaled 149 strikeouts during his career at Tennessee.

Walks allowed: Three

Seth Halvorsen

Halvorsen played at Tennessee from 2022-23. He did not play in 2022 due to injury. Halvorsen (3-3) appeared in 25 games, including one start, for the Vols in 2023, totaling 52 strikeouts and a 3.81 ERA in 52 innings.

Chase Burns
