Bayern Munich are pushing to sign a new left winger this summer.
Bayern Munich desperately need a left-winger, and they have intensified their pursuit of Liverpool star Luis Diaz after their exit from the Club World Cup quarterfinals.
The Bavarians have already seen the likes of Leroy Sane and Thomas Muller depart the club, while Jamal Musiala suffered a severe injury in their 2-0 defeat against PSG.
While they have explored the possibility of signing Nico Williams before he signed a bumper contract extension with Athletic Bilbao.
Bayern reportedly have stepped up their interest in luring Diaz out of Anfield. They have previously faced rejection from Liverpool but maintained their interest in the 28-year-old.
Recent reports from BILD suggest that Bayern have agreed on personal terms with the Colombian.
However, Barcelona are also in the race to sign the 28-year-old, who is key for the Catalans, especially after Williams signed the extension.

But things will get tricky for both clubs as Liverpool value him at around €80m ($109m). It is unlikely that the Reds will allow him to leave for anything below their asking price.
Diaz reportedly prefers a move out of Anfield this summer, and therefore, he hasn't negotiated a new deal with the English champions.
Why is Luis Diaz unsettled at Liverpool?
Diaz was an important player for Arne Slot as he guided the Reds to the Premier League title in his first season at the club.
The Colombian netted 13 goals and provided five assists in 36 Premier League outings last season.
As per FBref, Diaz has averaged 4.34 shot-creating actions, 2.17 successful take-ons and 6.18 touches in attacking areas every 90 minutes.
According to Sacha Tavolieri, Diaz is not happy with his salary at Liverpool, which is the reason why he is open to moving out of Merseyside.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are reportedly keen on holding onto their forward as they hope to negotiate a new contract with the 28-year-old.
It will be interesting to see if Bayern Munich somehow manage to get his asking price down, but it looks extremely unlikely.
