The Philadelphia Phillies will send two players to the 2025 MLB All-Star game, but a few Phils were among the biggest All-Star snubs. Who missed out?
The Philadelphia Phillies are once again one of the top teams in the National League as the 2025 All-Star game nears.
So naturally, fans will get to see plenty of Fightin' Phils as the Midsummer Classic comes to Truist Park in Atlanta on Tuesday, July 15, right? Well, maybe not this year.
The Phillies will have only two representatives as of now before any injury replacements are named after the National and American League rosters were announced on Sunday, July 6.
So who made it and who got snubbed? Here are the rosters:
2025 Phillies National League All-Stars
The Phillies will send two players to Atlanta — starting pitcher Zack Wheeler and designated hitter Kyle Schwarber. It is the third All-Star nob for each player.
Both were essentially locks to make the NL roster. Here's a look at their stats so far this season:
Zack Wheeler
Wheeler punctuated his All-Star nob on Sunday, July 7, pitching a complete-game win over the Cincinnati Reds. The Phils' ace allowed only one base runner — a solo home run — while striking out 12 in the masterfully performance.
This season, Wheeler is 9-3 with a 2.17 ERA and 148 strikeouts in 116 innings. He's also ranks third in MLB with a 3.8 WAR, or wins above replacement.
No surprise here 🤩

Kyle Schwarber
Schwarber continued one of his best offensive seasons of his career over the weekend with a game-tying RBI double to secure the series win over the Reds.
The slugger is batting .251 with .383 on-base percentage and is slugging .541 through 90 games. He's fifth in the MLB with 27 home runs seventh in runs and 10th in RBI.
The usually slow-footed DH has also chipped in 8 steals.

So, who on the Phillies got snubbed?
Trea Turner
After being elected to start last season's All-Star game despite sub-par stats, Turner was more than deserving this year.
Through 88 games, Turner is batting .299 with a .351 on-base percentage while slugging .451. He's added 10 home runs, 61 runs, 39 RBI and 22 steals while leading the NL in hits.
Among NL shortstops, he ranks first in batting average, hits, stolen bases and double while his 3.8 WAR top 10 in the MLB.

Ranger Suárez
After missing roughly the first month due to injury, Suárez has been on a tear since rejoining the Phils' rotation in May.
The left-hander is 7-2 with a 1.99 and 73 strikeouts in 77 innings. During an 11-start stretch, Suárez hasn't allowed more than 3 runs while dropping his ERA below 2.

Cristopher Sánchez
While Suárez has garnered much of the attention during his spectacular run, Sánchez has quietly been one of the most consistent starters in the NL this season.
Sánchez is sporting a 7-2 record with 2.68 ERA, which ranks 12th in the MLB. He's also struck out 108 batters in just over 100 innings.
