UConn Football WR Skyler Bell has been named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List, given to the nation's top receiver.
On Wednesday morning, UConn Football wide receiver Skyler Bell was named to the 2025 Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list. This accolade is awarded to college football’s most outstanding receiver, regardless of position.
After transferring in from Wisconsin prior to the 2024 season, Bell made an immediate impact on the Huskies’ receiving corps. The rising senior hauled in 50 receptions for 860 yards and five total touchdowns, leading UConn to a 9–4 season, highlighted by a decisive 27-14 victory over North Carolina in the 2024 Wasabi Fenway Bowl.
In December, Bell ended up testing the waters of the transfer portal and garnered a lot of interest from several Power Four programs. However the Bronx, New York, native, later went on to withdraw his name from the portal just a few weeks later with the intent to end his collegiate career as a UConn Husky.
Bell returns to an experienced Huskies offense, highlighted by veteran quarterbacks Joe Fagnano and star running back Cam Edwards. With Bell lined up at wide receiver again in 2025, the Huskies are poised for yet another winning season and another potential postseason appearance.
