EFL Championship 2025-26 (1)

How to watch EFL Championship: Live streams, TV channels, start times and key fixtures for 2025/26 season originally appeared on The Sporting News

The highly anticipated 2025/26 season of the EFL Championship is here, bringing some fierce rivalries and drama for all the football fans across the world.

The Championship sits a division below the Premier League and that brings out some of the most iconic and competitive matches between different British clubs for the fans. The league might not have the charm as compared to other big European leagues, but it is one of the most fiercely competitive leagues out there.

The reigning champion, Leeds United, edged out Burnley to win the second-tier title on goal difference after both clubs finished last season with 100 points. After their incredible performances in the tournament, both Leeds and Burnley secured direct promotion to the Premier League, while Sunderland earned a place via playoff qualification.

As the new season gets underway, all eyes will be on Leicester, Ipswich, and Southampton, who will be determined to earn back their spot in the Premier League.

Another talking point from this season's championship showdown is the arrival of Wrexham and Birmingham City. The Red Dragons will be competing in English football's second tier for the first time in 43 years after their third successive automatic promotion while the Blues have earned their promotion after winning the League One title with a record 111 points.

The Sporting News looks at the key fixture details and how to follow the matches.
