Former RC Strasbourg Alsace defender Thomas Delaine (33) is set to join Le Havre AC on a free transfer, according to a report from L’Équipe.
Le Havre, since the completion of Blue Crow’s takeover of the club (pending DNCG approval) earlier this month, have sought to be active in the transfer market. Godson Kyeremeh and Mory Diaw have arrived, whilst Lionel Mpasi is set to arrive as a back-up goalkeeper.
Le Havre are now looking to continue their recruitment drive through the signing of Delaine. The defender left Strasbourg after three seasons this summer. His age profile was not in fitting with the BlueCo project and therefore he was not renewed. Last season, he played just two matches in Ligue 1, accumulating a mere eight minutes of playing time.
However, Delaine will bring plenty of Ligue 1 experience to Le Havre. The defender has 115 matches in the top flight. He is expected in Le Havre imminently.
