The New York Knicks are coming off an impressive season that saw them reach the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000.

Unfortunately for the Knicks, they were unable to reach the NBA Finals as they were eliminated by the Indiana Pacers.

After their playoff exit, the Knicks made the shocking decision to fire head coach Tom Thibodeau and after about a month of interviews with multiple candidates, they hired two-time Coach of the Year Mike Brown as his replacement.

Brown now takes over a stacked Knicks team that is led by their core of Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart.

New York also made moves during the offseason to upgrade their bench, which was a major weakness for them last season, as they signed both Jordan Clarkson and Guerschon Yabusele in free agency.

With their upgraded roster and most of their rotation from last season returning, the Knicks are one of the favorites to come out of the Eastern Conference next season, especially with the conference being weakened due to injuries to Tyrese Haliburton and Jayson Tatum.

Karl-Anthony Towns reveals what Knicks need to win title

Towns recently appeared on Carmelo Anthony’s 7 PM in Brooklyn where he revealed what the Knicks need to do under Brown to win a championship next season.

“We have a chance to win a championship and that’s only going to happen if everyone’s connected,” Towns said.

Towns makes a great point about how the Knicks need to stay connected next season to have a shot at winning a championship, especially under new head coach Brown.

Of course, the Knicks have been an extremely connected team over the past few seasons, especially with Brunson, Hart and Bridges playing together in college at Villanova.

Despite this, New York’s roster will have to adjust to Brown’s coaching style, along with their new additions to the bench, and if they are able to do so, they could make a run at a championship next season with Brunson and Towns leading the way for them.
