A new set of photos have surfaced.
Indiana Fever Star Caitlin Clark Has Two Words After New Photos Go Public originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Indiana Fever have not provided a timetable for Caitlin Clark’s return from injury. Tuesday’s road matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks will mark the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year’s eighth consecutive game on the sidelines due to a re-aggravated groin injury, and there is currently no timeline when she will be back on the floor.
Caitlin Clark Takes on Different Role for Fever
This isn’t Clark’s first stint on the sidelines, either. This same groin injury also cost her five games in June and July, which includes the Fever’s Commissioner’s Cup championship win against the Minnesota Lynx.
In May and June, the 23-year-old was also forced to miss five consecutive contests due to a quad strain. All in all, Clark has sat out 16 out of Indiana’s 29 regular-season games thus far.
Her spell on the sidelines has resulted in a significant amount of free time for the former Iowa superstar. As such, Clark decided to take up a new role for the squad as the unofficial team photographer.
The 6-foot guard turned heads as she swapped the basketball for a camera during Fever games, and it appears that she has been pretty consistent with this hobby.
Clark Reacts After New Set of Photos Surface
Clark has gotten some pointers from professional photographer and friend Bri Lewerke. On Tuesday, ahead of Indiana’s game against the Sparks, Lewerke took to Instagram to share the latest round of photos Clark took over the past couple of weeks.
“When you give Caitlin Clark a camera: part two 📸 she made some major improvements the second time around,” Lewerke wrote.
Clark caught wind of the post and took the opportunity to heap praise on herself for a job well done.
“I ate,” Clark replied.
Looking at the photos, it's hard not to agree that Clark did, indeed, eat in this latest round of photos. It doesn’t require an expert to appreciate Clark’s talents. The fact that she’s provided an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what she and her Fever teammates have been up to when they’re not playing is an added bonus.
There's no denying that Clark has talent behind the camera. At the same time, however, the fact of the matter is that she’s still much more valuable as the Fever’s cornerstone superstar as opposed to being their unofficial team photographer.
