Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese was named to the 2025 WNBA All-Star team on Sunday. Also making it last season as a rookie, Reese has made the team each of her first two years as a professional.
Entering Sunday's game against the Minnesota Lynx, Reese had been amid one of the best stretches of her career. The 6-foot-3 forward entered the weekend riding a nine-game run with averages of 15.0 points and 12.8 rebounds on 47.1% shooting. This stretch raised her overall season averages to 12.4 points and 12.6 rebounds.
Staying in good form, Reese recorded another double-double against the Lynx.
Finishing Sunday's game with 16 points, 17 rebounds and six assists, Reese turned in another all-around performance. This one came against the WNBA's best team, as Minnesota entered play atop the league with a 16-2 record.
Unfortunately for Chicago, Reese's strong individual play was not enough to secure a victory against the top-seeded Lynx. That said, this did not stop the team from honoring its All-Star by naming her Player of the Game.
Chicago made this announcement not long after the final buzzer.

Reese has been no stranger to this honor in her second season. Often emerging as Chicago's top individual performer, the former LSU standout has seemingly taken another leap forward in recent weeks.
For the Sky, this loss dropped their record to 5-12 on the WNBA season. The win improved Minnesota to a league-best 17-2. These two teams will meet three more times this month, with the next matchup coming on July 12.
