Bradley Beal is set to be on the move.
Heat Fans Bracing for Bradley Beal Move After News on Sunday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Three-time NBA All-Star Bradley Beal has been in a standoff of sorts with the Phoenix Suns for nearly this entire year.
As the Suns hoped to pull off a significant move of sorts around the trade deadline, Beal's unwillingness to waive his no-trade clause prevented them from doing so. The Suns ended up not reaching their full potential and pulling the plug on the superteam centered around Beal, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, who they traded to the Houston Rockets.
With the Suns wanting to start fresh, they are reportedly expected to proceed with moving on from Beal via buying out his contract.
A process that Arizona sports insider John Gambadoro revealed could occur within the next 24-48 hours, and has many Heat fans convinced that Beal will end up in Miami due to the rise in reported interest in the past few days.
As confirmed by the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson on Sunday, who had teased an enormous move the previous evening that left fans perplexed, the Heat could be eyeing Beal.
"Now that the cat is out of the bag, Beal was the player I was referencing last night when people started pleading for details I wasn't authorized to offer yet," wrote Jackson. "He's still "interesting" because he shot a very impressive 49.7 percent (38.6 on threes) while averaging 17 ppg. But Bucks, trying to appease Giannis, could very well be more desperate than other potential suitors like Miami."
While the Suns may be out on Beal, he may be able to provide the scoring boost that the Heat need alongside Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo. It may not be the big move Heat fans have been eyeing all offseason, but it certainly moves the needle a tad.
