Chelsea easily has one of the most exciting squads in the Premier League, but there is one player who stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Cole Palmer has transformed into a talismatic star since arriving at Stamford Bridge in 2023, and his list of fans keeps growing by the day.

Palmer was a huge part of the reason why Chelsea had a successful season last time around, as they qualified for the Champions League and clinched the UEFA Conference League and the Club World Cup.

Palmer’s performances this season will once again go a long way in determining where Chelsea finishes in the upcoming season.

However, the Englishman has captured the imagination of players and fans alike with these performances and former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, is the latest one to sing his praises.

Ferdinand was recently discussing Palmer on his podcast and paid him a glowing tribute along the way.

Ferdinand said on his channel: “He would be up there for me as well… [Mohamed] Salah is the better player and he’s done all this. There are a couple of other players you put that are better and have done more, but this player would make me pay to go and watch football more.”

“I would pay to go and watch Cole Palmer probably before anyone in the game in England at the moment… There is not a player in the Premier League I would rather pay to watch more than him.”

Palmer’s game has improved by leaps and bounds since joining Chelsea two years ago. He has managed 43 goals and created 29 assists in 97 appearances for the Blues.

On the back of an impressive last season for Chelsea, one can expect him to kick on and have an even more productive season this time around.
