Van Lith is in danger of missing her fourth straight game on Sunday.
Chicago Sky Star Angel Reese Had One Word for Hailey Van Lith Amid Three-Game Absence originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Hailey Van Lith has been nursing a troubling ankle injury of late, which has proven to be a significant roadblock in her rookie year with the Chicago Sky. The 5-foot-9 guard has missed three straight games for Chicago because of this lingering issue, and she is now in danger of sitting out her fourth consecutive contest on Sunday against the Phoenix Mercury after being listed as questionable to play.
Hailey Van Lith Continues to Slay With Her Tunnel Outfits
Despite her recent spell on the sidelines, Van Lith has still been consistently hitting the mark with her game day outfits. The 23-year-old took to social media on Saturday to flex some of her most recent eye-catching fits.
“Like your fav H 🤍” she captioned her post on Instagram.
Van Lith might not be the biggest star on the basketball court, but the former TCU standout has been a big hit among the fans with her fashion statements off the court.
Angel Reese Reacts to Van Lith’s Post
Van Lith’s latest outfit post drew all sorts of reactions from her supporters on social media. This included a one-word comment from Sky teammate Angel Reese.
“all😍” Reese commented, expressing how she loves all of Van Lith’s outfits equally.
The Sky jumped in on the comments section and showed their support for Van Lith. “u so fly,” the Sky posted.
Sky in the Midst of Injury Crisis
Much like Van Lith, Reese has also been troubled by injuries of late. The two-time All-Star has already been ruled out for Sunday’s clash against Phoenix, marking her second straight game on the shelf due to a back issue. The Mercury game is also going to be Reese’s fourth absence in the last five contests because of the same back injury.
It is also worth noting that the former LSU star sat out on July 16 against the Atlanta Dream due to a leg problem. Sunday’s game against Phoenix will be the fifth time Reese will be out in the last seven games.
That’s not all she wrote for the Sky, though, who have been missing the services of five-time All-Star Courtney Vandersloot due to a season-ending ACL injury. Ariel Atkins also remains out with a leg issue, while Michaela Onyenwere was added to the injury report (she is probable to play) due to a lingering knee problem.
Chicago enters Sunday’s contest looking for its first win in eight games. This team is currently 12th in the WNBA with a 7-20 record.
