The Alabama Crimson Tide are on a major recruiting heater right now.

They secured their fourth five-star recruit in their 2026 recruiting class when five-star safety Jireh Edwards committed to the Tide on Saturday. Edwards is the fourth-highest recruit in the Tide's class, per 247Sports

The Tide have 19 recruits in the class and have the third-best recruiting class in the country, per 247Sports. Only the USC Trojans and Georgia Bulldogs are ranked higher.

Even though the Tide had a down year in 2024, they are still recruiting their butts off in this class. Many top recruits want to play for them, as they are a national contender virtually every year.

Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer wants to build something special in Tuscaloosa after he agreed to coach the program when the 2023 season ended. Before leading the Tide to a 9-4 record last season, he was the head coach of the Washington Huskies for two seasons, compiling a 25-3 record.

He also coached the Fresno State Bulldogs in 2020 and 2021, finishing with a 12-6 record. DeBoer has an overall coaching record of 46-13 through five seasons.

There are fewer than two months to go before the 2025 season starts in late August. The Tide will open the year with a big-time matchup against the Florida State Seminoles in Tallahassee on August 30.

Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
