Whether you're playing for a bell, a flag or something else, there are some tremendous rivalry games in the desert. But which one is the best?
The high school football gridirons are about to light up for another season, and as every team looks over its schedule, there are a few games they always have circled.
We're talking about rivalry games of course. If you could only win one game all year, you'd want it to be this one.
So for this week's high school poll, we're asking you which desert football rivalry is the best.
There are some classics like the Bell Game (both low desert and high desert) and, of course the Flag Game. There are some new ones, too, like the Mayor's Cup and the Ramon Road Rivalry.
You tell us which one is the best. Simply vote in the poll at the bottom of this article at desertsun.com and whichever rivalry gets the most votes by noon on Saturday will be declared the winner.
Last week's poll was about uniforms. We asked you which school is the best dressed and you chose Rancho Mirage with those nice grey and burgundy unis, sometimes with a pop of that light blue. Good choice.
