Texas has had three players bring home three Walter Camp Awards. Ricky Williams won the 1998 Walter Camp Award during his Heisman Trophy season, and Colt McCoy earned the honor in 2008 and 2009. McCoy is the only back-to-back and two-time award winner in the history of the Walter Camp.

Texas lead the nation with three selections to the 2025 watch list.

Manning was a third-team preseason All-SEC selection and was also named to the Maxwell Award watch list. He was 61-of-91 passing last year for 939 yards and nine touchdowns in 2024. He also rushed for four scores.

Simmons, also on the watch list for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and a first-team preseason All-SEC selection, lead Texas with 9.0 sacks and was second in tackles for loss with 14.0 in 2024. He took home the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year trophy and was on the freshman All-SEC team.

Hill, a second-team All-American last year according to multiple outlets, was a preseason first-team All-SEC selection. He was a Butkus and Bednarik semifinalist in 2024. He notched a team leading 103 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, and four forced fumbles.

Travis Hunter of Colorado won the award last year.
