The Golden State Warriors have made up their mind.

According to the San Francisco Standard's Tim Kawakami, Jonathan Kuminga isn't going anywhere.

Well, at least not this summer.

Here's Kawakami's report from Monday morning:

"The Warriors unenthusiastically engaged in a few sign-and-trade discussions, but a source says they're now out on those talks and that Jonathan Kuminga will be on the team this season."

Kawakami is a long-respected Bay Area writer, so this is rock-solid information.

Things can always change, of course, but for now, it appears Kuminga is staying put.

Those sign-and-trades referenced by Kawakami were discussed in many reports over the last month. It sounded like both the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings were interested in getting Kuminga.

The saga isn't quite over, because Kuminga is still a restricted free agent. He still has to sign a contract to keep playing for Golden State.

Recent reports indicated the Warriors were offering something like two years and $45 million, while Kuminga wanted closer to $30 million per year.

But if Golden State truly puts its foot in the ground and says it isn't trading Kuminga right now, then the two sides can pull up to the table and figure out a compromise.

Kuminga is a talented scorer, which he showed in the playoffs when Jimmy Butler and then Stephen Curry were out injured.

He also isn't a perfect fit for a Golden State lineup that still depends on Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler, neither of whom are great floor spacers.

But it appears the Warriors have decided they'd rather have Kuminga's talent in their building than outside it. And they'll figure out the rest from here.
