There might not be much the Bucks can do, but they need to put Kuzma in the best position to win.
Bucks writer urges Milwaukee to make important Kyle Kuzma decision originally appeared on The Sporting News
The Milwaukee Bucks didn't seem to have much of a plan for Kyle Kuzma after they traded for him. Clearly, the hope was for the Bucks to get under the second apron, and while Jon Horst and Doc Rivers have suggested that Kuzma could be a player they rely on in different lineups, some believe the way the Bucks were using him won’t work.
That includes Dalton Sell of FanSided, who noted that the Bucks need to put him back into his natural position next year as a traditional power forward. Kuzma typically played the three for the Bucks when playing next to Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez.

"Kuzma faced a lot of adversity last season, coming aboard via trade late in the season and battling injuries in the playoffs," Sell wrote. "However, what didn't help was Doc Rivers playing him out of position, using him a small forward rather than his traditional power forward, and asking him to do much more than what he should have been."
For this to happen, Kuzma would have to come off the bench full-time.
Having a player that expensive come off the bench might not be ideal for the Bucks, but if it helps the team win at the highest level, it might be what Rivers has to do.
The Bucks signed Myles Turner during the offseason, and have Bobby Portis to play the five off the bench.
If they feel confident in somebody else playing the four off the bench, it's possible that Kuzma could be the three man and figure some things out, as Milwaukee desperately needs that to happen.
