Barcelona are facing a transfer standstill with just weeks left in the summer window.

In fact, according to an update from SPORT, it has been learned that none of the current squad members are showing any intention to leave, even those with minimal roles under Hansi Flick.

Interestingly, this has made it difficult for the club to free up space and generate income through sales.

No one wants to leave Barcelona

The outlet assures that several players like Fermin Lopez, Marc Casado, and Andreas Christensen have received interest from other clubs. However, none of them seems keen on negotiating exits.

Casado, for instance, has expressed his desire to fight for a place until at least January. Furthermore, despite strong interest from Manchester United, Fermin is staying put as Flick plans to include him in the rotation.

Lastly, Christensen’s case is more complicated, as his contract ends in 2026 and won’t be renewed. While Barça hoped to earn a small fee, it looks unlikely now, so the defender will remain.

Squad will remain unchanged

Barça’s sporting management and Flick have accepted that the squad may remain mostly unchanged. Only Oriol Romeu is expected to depart soon. He is training alone, and the club plans to negotiate a contract termination to facilitate his move.

Inaki Pena’s situation depends on player registrations, while Hector Fort could be sold, with Mallorca interested in a €5 million deal for 50% rights.

The board had considered a high-value sale to resolve financial constraints in one go, but no player is willing to push for an exit. There is also a concern that players may lose market value if they do not play this season.

Still, Barça are prioritising harmony within the dressing room. Unless a major offer arrives in the final days of the window, no significant changes are expected. For now, everything remains at a standstill.
