This decision is making waves, as it appears to go against the apparent needs of the squad. So far, four major reinforcements have arrived: Trent Alexander-Arnold, a free agent from Liverpool, to strengthen the right flank. Dean Huijsen, a highly promising young center-back, signed for €62.5 million. Álvaro Carreras, brought in for €50 million to add depth at left-back.
