Bartram Trail graduate and Ponte Vedra Beach resident Julian Suri won his first career Korn Ferry Tour title on Aug. 3 at the Utah Championship.
Julian Suri has finally won in America.
Suri, a Bartram Trail graduate and Ponte Vedra Beach resident whose previous high-level professional victories came on the DP World Tour and the European Challenge Tour, birdied five of his last eight holes on Aug. 3 at the Ogden Golf and Country Club for a closing 63 to win the Korn Ferry Tour Utah Championship at 18-under-par 262.
He defeated five players tied at 16-under, including 54-hole co-leader Taylor Montgomery and PGA Tour veteran Spencer Levin. Suri opened with a 69 in the first round and improved his score each day, posting subsequent rounds of 66 and 64 before the final day.
Suri drained an 8-foot birdie putt at the last and had to wait until five more twosomes finished before he could put his hands on the trophy.

Suri, 34, came from five shots behind Montgomery and Robby Shelton at the start of the day, the fourth comeback from a five-shot deficit or larger this season. Suri is the 13th first-time winner in 2025 on the Korn Ferry Tour and the second-oldest this season. Josh Teater won in Panama at the age of 45.
Suri earned $180,000 for his second top-10 finish of the season and moved from 56th to 16th on the Korn Ferry Tour points list with five events remaining until the Korn Ferry Tour Championship. The top 20 players on the points list at the end of the season will earn PGA Tour cards for 2026.

Suri won his first Official World Golf Rankings-sanctioned event since the 2017 Danish Golf Championship. That propelled a rise as high as 60th in the world, which qualified him for two starts each in the British Open and PGA Championship. He tied for 19th in the 2018 PGA.
He has battled injuries since then and failed in two trips to the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament the last two years to earn a Tour card. Suri has been playing on conditional status on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Julian Suri won two state titles at Bartram Trail
Suri has 15 career PGA Tour starts and won in his 39th Korn Ferry Tour start. His best finish was a tie for 8th in the Houston Open.
Suri led Bartram Trail to the 2008 FHSAA state championship and is the only First Coast high school player to win back-to-back individual titles, in 2007 and 2008. He played at Duke for four years.
